about
Dear Apollo's second release, "Sink or Swim" is a reminder that with every dream you have, there will be someone who doubts you and wants to stop you. It happened to us and we let it get in our heads. Almost to the point where we wanted to stop making music. But here we are, we made it through, and we want encourage you to follow your dreams.
lyrics
VERSE 1:
You bled me dry just to satisfy your needs.
Left me to die just to celebrate your greed.
I don't have much left to give anymore,
I've forgotten what I was fighting for.
PRECHORUS:
I let my dreams fall through the cracks of my hands.
You pushed me to the point of losing who I...
CHORUS:
Am I just another failure?
Or have I become who I was meant to be?
I swear I tried so hard to make it
But I lost the fight I had in me.
VERSE 2:
Said I could do what I want, that I had all control.
Well, that was a lie!
I still bent over backwards like I had no choice
and you left me without a voice.
BRIDGE:
Trying to reach the surface of your sea of shame.
I'll pull you off of that damn boat myself.
IT'S SINK OR SWIM OUT HERE.
Do me a favor and give yourself a head start,
Either way I'll persevere!
PRECHORUS:
I let my dreams fall through the cracks of my hands.
You pushed me to the point of finding who...
FINAL CHORUS:
I am not another failure.
And I have become who I was meant to be.
I swear, I tried so hard, and I made it!
And I won the fight I had in me.
